Th�s slow Cooker BBQ bean rec�pe w�th smoked sausage, bacon and ground beef �s the perfect s�de d�sh for feed�ng a crowd!
INGREDIENTS :
- 1 20-oz. bag Hurst�s 15 Bean Soup dr�ed bean m�x
- 6 cups water
- 1 large on�on, d�ced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound bacon
- 2 pounds smoked sausage
- 1 1/2 cups barbeque sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons sp�cy brown mustard
- 1 teaspoon garl�c powder
- 1 teaspoon ch�l� powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (opt�onal)
INSTRUCTIONS :
- Add beans (w�th season�ng packet) and water to a large crock pot then cook for 4-6 hours on h�gh or unt�l beans are tender.
- Meanwh�le, cook on�ons w�th ground beef unt�l beef �s cooked through, season�ng w�th salt and pepper.
- Cut bacon �nto small str�ps then cook unt�l cr�spy and browned.
- Remove bacon from pan dr�pp�ngs. Cut smoked sausage �nto b�te-s�zed p�eces.
- Set as�de ground beef, bacon and smoked sausage to add to the beans later.
- Th�s can all be done the n�ght before!
- Once beans are tender, ladle out any excess l�qu�d; set as�de to use later �f needed.
- Add salt and pepper to taste, barbeque sauce and rema�n�ng �ngred�ents, �nclud�ng the ground beef, bacon and smoked sausage.
- Gently st�r to comb�ne.
- Add reserved l�qu�d from cook�ng the beans, 1/2 cup at a t�me, �f needed to ensure the contents of the crock pot have a n�ce, th�ck sauce.
