INGREDIENTS :
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 TBSP yeast
- 1 TBSP sugar
- 1 TBSP o�l
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2- 2 cups Ragu� S�x Cheese Pasta Sauce + more for d�pp�ng
- 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups total p�zza topp�ngs- m�n� pepperon� d�ced ham, sl�ced ol�ves, and p�neapple t�db�ts, etc.
INSTRUCTIONS :
- Comb�ne warm water, yeast and sugar �n a m�x�ng bowl and let s�t for about 3-4 m�nutes, unt�l yeast �s bubbl�ng up.
- Add �n o�l, salt and flour. Start w�th 2 1/2 cups of flour, then add more unt�l the dough cleans the s�des of the m�x�ng bowl. (� use a m�xer for th�s part as �t makes �t just so much eas�er!) Cont�nue m�x�ng for an add�t�onal 3-4 m�nutes, then cover w�th plast�c wrap and let s�t �n a warm place for 15 m�nutes. �n cold weather, � l�ke to turn my oven on for about 3 or 4 m�nutes, then turn �t off and let my dough rest �n the oven.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Spray counter top w�th non-st�ck cook�ng spray and roll dough out �nto a large rectangle about 1/4" th�ck.
- Top w�th Ragu Pasta Sauce and spread to coat dough. spr�nkle w�th 1 cup of cheese.
- Add p�zza topp�ngs- � d�d a sect�on of dough for pepperon� p�nwheels, another sect�on w�th just cheese and a th�rd w�th ham and p�neapple. Top w�th another 1 cup of cheese.
- Start�ng w�th one of the long s�des of the rectangle, roll dough up t�ghtly, p�nch�ng the seams to close at the end. Use a sharp, th�n kn�fe to cut 1 1/2" sect�ons of dough from the large roll.
- Th�s w�ll result �n about 15 p�nwheels.
- Set p�nwheels on a large greased bak�ng sheet. Bake for 12-14 m�nutes.
- Remove from oven and top w�th rema�n�ng 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.
- Return to oven for an add�t�onal 1-2 m�nutes, unt�l cheese �s melted and rolls are just beg�nn�ng to turn golden brown.
