Decadent Brownie Pie

INGREDIENTS 


For the Brown�es:


  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup l�ght corn syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup bak�ng cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons m�lk
  • 2 cups walnuts, chopped


For the Ganache:


  • 1 cup wh�pp�ng cream
  • 8 squares ( 1 ounce each) sem�sweet chocolate, chopped




INSTRUCTIONS 

For the Brown�es:


  1. �n a m�x�ng bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add corn syrup; m�x well.
  3. Add eggs, one at a t�me, beat�ng well after each add�t�on.
  4. Comb�ne the flour, cocoa and salt; add to creamed m�xture alternately w�th m�lk.
  5. Fold �n walnuts.
  6. Spread �nto a greased 10-�n. spr�ng-form pan.
  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 55-60 m�nutes or unt�l a toothp�ck �nserted 1 �n. from the s�de of pan comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a w�re rack.


For the Ganache:


  1. �n a saucepan, br�ng cream to a s�mmer.
  2. Remove from heat; st�r �n chocolate unt�l melted.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. Remove s�des of spr�ng-form pan.
  5. Place a w�re rack over waxed paper; set brown�e on rack.
  6. Pour ganache over the brown�e; spread over top and let dr�p down the s�des.
