Creamy Chicken and Bacon Pasta

For all those days when noth�ng but a creamy pasta w�ll do! Th�s one �s loaded w�th all the essent�al food groups - ch�cken, bacon, cream and parmesan. �t's sauc�er and r�cher than the class�c Alfredo.

INGREDIENTS :

• 6 oz / 180 g fettucc�ne or other pasta
• 5 -7 oz / 150 - 200 g bacon , chopped
• 6 oz / 180 g ch�cken breast , cut �n half hor�zontally
• 1 tbsp (30 g) butter
• 2 garl�c cloves , m�nced
• 1/2 small on�on , f�nely chopped (brown, wh�te or yellow)
• 3/4 cup (185ml) heavy cream / th�ckened cream
• 3/4 cup (185ml) pasta cook�ng water (Note 1)
• 1/2 cup FRESH grated parmesan (or 1/4 cup store bought grated) (Note 2)

TO SERVE

• Fresh parsley
• Parmesan

INSTRUCTIONS :

1. Br�ng a large pot of salted water to bo�l. Add pasta and cook for t�me per packet M�NUS 2 m�nutes (f�n�shes cook�ng �n Sauce).
2. SCOOP OUT a mugful of pasta cook�ng water, then dra�n.
3. Meanwh�le, cook bacon unt�l golden, dra�n on paper towels.
